STAGE 02
Map what exists.
Create an honest one-to-one map of the imported interface. Coverage is the proof; leftover is leftover, not missing. Do not restyle while mapping.
Complete when
The map covers the whole imported interface, including leftovers and split implementations, and the map can be checked against the live product.
Not done if
Inventing components to make the inventory look complete; redesigning while cataloging; treating an instructor/page shell as proof the Catalog stage is done.
Evidence before advancement
- Review the whole product scope relevant to this stage, not a hand-picked sample.
- Compare the stage’s stated job with what changed in files, behavior, documentation, and coverage.
- If the evidence falls short, keep the product on this stage rather than advancing the tracker.
- Do not start the next stage’s work merely because the next step is obvious.
Keep the two clocks separate.
The From Prototype stage tracker says which job the product is doing now. Coverage says what portions of the design system are actually resolved. Stage movement is not permission to relabel unresolved coverage.
